The Airchair II is made from high strength aluminium alloy, is extremely lightweight (6.8kgs/15lb) and is capable of carrying passengers with a ‘suddenly applied load’ of up to 250kg/550lb. It is supplied in a neat carry bag so that it can be stowed in overhead lockers or the dog box and is quick and simple to unfold to make ready for use.
Airchair II is fitted with directional casters to the rear of the chair with three settings:

Airchair II is fitted with a fold down footplate, with non-slip tape and straps to keep the passenger’s feet secure.
Automatically deployed as the Airchair II is opened, the safety stay mechanism locks the ‘X’ frame during use.
The retracting back rest is operated by a simple ‘Push Bar’, enabling easy transfer from one seat to another. The Airchair seat and backrest are made from fire retardant, high quality, wipe clean, recycled e-leather from GenPhoenix.
Since COVID-19, it is now a priority to keep everything as clean as possible and airlines are having to be fastidious with new cleaning regimes, disinfecting cabins on a regular basis.
Airchair’s frame is finished with Sterilcoat-AM®, an anti-microbial powder coating that prevents the spread of dangerous micro-organisms by significantly reducing microbial activity and suppressing the growth of mould and bacteria.
The powder coating provides protection over an extended period of time and retains its anti-microbial properties even after repeated washing or cleaning. Additionally, Sterilcoat-AM® is very durable, providing superior stain and scratch resistance.
An ideal solution at a time when cleanliness is absolutely critical.
Instructions for Use
A set of instructions are located in the carry bag and also incorporated on to the back rest, ensuring cabin crew have the information they need for safe deployment within the aircraft.
