Airchair, the leading manufacturer of onboard wheelchairs, will take a central role at the Aircraft Cabin Innovation Summit Europe, taking place at Lufthansa Seeheim, Hessen, 1-3 June 2026. Hosted by Lufthansa, the event brings together industry leaders to explore the future of aircraft cabin design and the passenger experience, with a focus on accessible travel.
On Day one of the summit, Airchair Director Sarah McOnie will join renowned Accessible Aviation Consultant & Trainer Mary Doyle, founder of Rocket Girl Coaching, alongside other accessibility experts; Andreas Schütt, Product Manager Sustainable Cabin, Airbus and Danica Waitcus, Accessibility Manager, Lufthansa Group, on the panel for the Round Table session, “Universal Skies: Towards the Next Level of Passenger Accessibility.”
Moderated by Axel Becker, Cabin and Cargo Expert, Airbus, this session unites the entire aviation ecosystem, from aircraft OEM and airline to supplier and PRM advocate. Participants will engage in a cross-functional dialogue to examine the lived experience of passengers with disabilities. The current challenges and opportunities in accessible air travel will be covered, looking at smart solutions in onboard mobility, and the ways airlines, manufacturers and advocacy groups can collaborate to identify actionable innovations that ensure the cabin of the future is truly open to everyone.
